What is hardware error 03130031-2F50?
This error relates to the print heads, particularly the right side print head. If your printer only has 1 print head, then you should assume the worst! Just kidding. Depending on the printer model, it may require just 1 print head. This error code will likely be seen in Canon imagePROGRAF iPF series 8 and 12 color printers.
Please note, models that use 2 print heads are recommended to change both at the same time. Replacing both print heads together may not be the most financially friendly option, but it is the most responsible option.

Can I Fix The Error
Good news, in most cases this one is easy to fix. The first thing to try in almost every troubleshooting situation is to simply turn the printer off, wait a few moments, and turn it back on. If the error clears itself, you have no further steps to take (aside from giving us an outstanding review on Google and subscribe to our blog).
If a power cycle doesn’t work, you should verify you have the current firmware. If neither of those options solves the problem, the next thing is try to eliminate the possibility of a false error code by verifying there is no air in the ink lines. Once you’ve done those 3 things, if the error code persists, it’s time to look at the costly options.
The False Error
As mentioned in the section above, it is entirely possible to have a false error.
If you can see air in the ink lines, your print head may be telling the main controller that something is wrong. To check if your printer has air in the lines, open the top cover (lid), and visually inspect the ink lines. Those lines should look like the ones pictured here.
Any air in the line will be quite easy to spot. If you see air, you’ll need to perform an ink system initialize (which uses a lot of ink) or perform a manual fill using a syringe. Starting with a syringe may be a fairly inexpensive solution to the problem.
If you do not see air in the ink lines, the appropriate next step is to replace the print heads (available below) or at least the right side as a minimum.

What If Print Head Replacement Doesn’t Work
If replacing one or both of the print heads did not resolve the 2F50 error code, the cost to repair can start to climb rapidly so we recommend contacting Canon tech support to discuss the options.
In some cases, replacing the main controller is the next item on the list. For other models, the carriage relay PCB would be the right fix.
Lastly, another potential item to consider is the flat cable.
Final Notes
To recap, the fix for this error can be a simple reboot or firmware update and can range up to replacing 2 print heads, carriage relay PCB, main controller, and a flat cable. Before making any investments, consider the age of the printer in relation to current technology and when you plan on buying a new computer. The former is important because legacy (older model) printers may not be compatible with upcoming computer operating systems or even recent updates. It would be a shame to spend a few thousand dollars on repairs today only to discover 6 months from now that your printer doesn’t work with your new computer.
In some cases, it may be better to replace the printer with a brand new model and get the accompanying warranty.

Fixing Canon imagePROGRAF Hardware Error 03130031 can be a simple power-cycle or a replacement of very expensive spare parts. The first thing you need to do is to make sure there isn’t any paper stuck inside the Canon imagePROGRAF Plotter. And that the carriage assembly is in the docked state on the right side hand side of the plotter. You can verify this by opening the top cover or the Canon imagePROGRAF Plotter.
The second step is to turn off the Canon Plotter by pressing the power button. You should NEVER unplug the Plotter power code while it is ‘ON’. Once you turn the power off, turn the plotter ‘ON’ in the usual way. If it clears the error message, consider you are lucky and continue your print job as usual.

Добрый день!
1) У нас плоттер Canon ipf 770.Печатаем чертежи.
Сразу же перевели на не оригинальные чернила. Водянка ink system, пигмент INK Tek для Epson. Отходил 700 м2. Месяц не пользовались. После чего выдал ошибку печатной головки. По видимому головка забилась. По качеству печати нареканий не было.
2) Приобрели головку. Нареканий не было.Где то через 800 м2 (Общий пробег 1500 м2) заменили чернила пигментные на пигментные INK Tek для HP. Якобы предыдущие использовать нельзя так как они для другого принципа работы печатной головки. Еще через 600 м2 (Общий пробег 2100 м2), плоттер после распечатки 1 го -2 ух листов (независимо от размеров) стал заправятся чернилами — «Принтер заполняется чернилами из баков» — «Подождите». Начинает печатать, один-два листа, потом снова заполняется и так получилось напечатать 40 м2. Через некоторое время выдал аппаратную ошибку 03130031-2F72 (смотрел в интернете не нашел не чего с такой ошибкой). Перезагружаешь начинает снова заполнятся чернилами после чего выдает ошибку тоже самую ошибку. Заходил через сервисное меню, чистил голову автоматически не чего не выходит.
Выключил принтер. Отодвинул каретку достал голову. Промыл мистер мусколом (зеленого цвета). Головка была грязная. Поставил. Включил. Плоттер пишет — «Идет впитывание чернил». После чего сказал ошибка печатной головки, замените головку. Зашел в сервисное меню сделал чистку головы А, потом в режиме В. Почистилась, хотел сделать проверку сопел. Выдал ошибку 03130031-2F51. Почитал в интернете, написано что ошибка головы, можно выкинуть.Еще раз поставил на чистку через сервис — выдал ошибку 03130031-2F4F.
Включил стал заполнятся чернилами, выдал ошибку — 03130031-2F72. Перезагрузил, пишет ошибка печатной головки, замените головку.
Что делать?Достаточно ли поменять голову , что бы все заработало?

А водянка для каких принтеров ?

Поменять голову , залить подходящие чернила для Кэнон во все картриджи , а не лить туда всякую бурду . Тогда может быть и заработает .

NANO3 , Epson SP1410 , PX660. Чернила : оригинал L800 , WWM EVEREST , Revcol EP390 .

Добрый день!Вообщем поменял голову, купил краску для термоструйной головы Inktek для НP(так как принцип работы головы одинаковый). Все заработало!!!Ура-а-а!
Качество печати очень удивило, стало печатать более четко и цвета насыщенные.
Но-но-но… есть одна проблема, после распечатки двух-трех листков плоттер постоянно наполняется чернилами, потом снова печатает. Еще в прошлый раз услышал подозрительный звук при наборе краски, какой то скрип. Думаю, что дело в нем. Не знаю сколько голова продержится, по видимому придется везти в сервис, вот беда в нашем городе его нет нужно везти за 1000 км.
Вывод: голова у них чипированная, один раз вытащил больше не поставишь, промывка не помогает, может кто-то научится блокировать, будет круто. Вообщем плоттер хороший, себя уже окупил раз 10, расходники дорогие, стоимость головы-500$, сброс памперса по принципу IPF650. Картриджы ПЗК не покупал продырявил родные заправлял 20 куб-ым шприцем, заклеивал теромопистолетом, через отверстия картриджа подачи краски и воздуха в плоттер не заливал дабы не портить резиновый клапан.
Может новый приобретем, так как у нас с мастерами проблема, боюсь залезут туда да и после придется выбрасывать.
Вообщем все!Будут вопросы пишите, может, что нибудь подскажу, что знаю.

Добрый день! Принтер Canon ipf 670, выдает ошибку печатающей головки! Нет вариантов как то это исправить не меняя голову?

03130031-2F72 — ошибка заполнения правого танка.Это где черные картриджи. Спрашивал в сервисе сказали поменяйте чернила. Поменял больше ошибка не повторялась.
03130031-2F51 — сегодня выдал. на 770 не нашел. Вопрос сервису задал завтра узнаю что скажут.
в другом мануале ошибок нашел такое
Printhead short-circuited detected. Prior to VH power on, it has been detected that the printhead had been damaged due to paper jam etc, and ink went inside the terminal area causing near short-circuit. 2F49: L side printhead 2F50: R side printhead 2F51: LR both printhead
Что-то типа в голове произошло короткое замыкание замените голову.

Сегодня плоттер выдал 2f4f. Что за ошибка не понимаю. После перезапуска плоттера попросил поменять голову. Вытащил вставил пошел печатать дальше. В общем на голову больной аппарат.
