Эта утилита позволяет запускать игру в окне и большом разрешении и т.д.
Проверено на версии игры 1.14D
Нужно просто распаковать содержимое архива в папку с игрой и запустить файл D2Config.exe и настроить как вам нравиться конфиги и можно закрыть утилиту…
Далее создаём ярлык игры Game.exe например на рабочем столе и заходим в свойство его и делаем как показано на скриншоте…
Ну и запускаем игру с этого ярлыка и радуемся!!!

Игроки, которые интересуются тем, как сделать разрешение 1920×1080 в Diablo 2 наверняка уже знают, что стандартная версия игры не позволяет играть в таком разрешении. На выбор игрокам представляется только две версии: 640×480 и 800×600.
Как сделать разрешение 1920×1080 в Diablo 2
Специально для того, чтобы игрокам было комфортнее играть с современными мониторами, был создан HD mod Diablo 2, который представляет собой мини-патч, который позволяет выбрать любое из предложенных разрешений на выбор (1366×768, 1280×720, 1920×1080 и так далее).
Необходимо сделать следующее:
- скачать D2MultiRes Version 1.02;
- копируем файлы программы в папку с игрой;
- запускаем файл 2MultiResGame.exe;
- выбираем необходимое нам разрешение экрана;
- запускаем видео-тест D2VidTst.exe;
- выбираем режим “DirectDraw”, чтобы программа работала бесперебойно.
Теперь вы знаете, как в diablo 2 сделать разрешение full hd: 1366×768, 1280×720, 1920×1080 и так далее. Таким образом, вы в любой момент можете поменять разрешение экрана и играть в любимую игру в full hd, так как данная программа позволяет не только увеличить видимую игровую площадь и возможность телепортации на длительные расстояния, но и более четкую картинку, без привычных расплывчатых пикселей.
Такой мод может быть использован на разных модах игры, в том числе и на дополнении Lord of Destruction.

На данный момент классическая версия diablo 2 и diablo 2 lord of destruction по сути потеряла свою актуальность, так как вышла diablo 2 ressurected, в которой, кстати сказать, доступна игра, как в новом переработанном разрешении, так и в старом варианте. Переключение между режимами производится клавишей G.
Если вы являетесь поклонником серии, то непременно оцените ремастер той самой ванилы.

I believe that currently Diablo 2 only supports 800×600 resolution (though it may have gone up to 1024×768). Is anyone aware of a hack, mod, etc. which allows for increasing the resolution?
I’m aware that this is probably against the rules for Battle.NET, so before anyone warns me of that know that I don’t plan to use it competitively; I play mostly with friends over LAN.

Since Diablo 2 is a sprite based game there is no way to increase the resolution, however, you can increase the drawing size of the screen (ie. be able to see more). I am aware of a couple mods to do this (I won’t link them here), but it is against the ToS and will get you banned on Battle Net.
I will tell you that editing a shortcut to add the -w option will put you into windowed mode; which I highly suggest.
Also a good site for knowing about different games screen resolutions is Wide Screen Gaming Forum. Usually if its possible they will show you how, and if its not they may have other advice. I’d start there if I were you.

This Glide3 wrapper worked for me. Basically you put the dll in your Diablo2 directory and run the D2VidTest.exe and it’ll let you select the Glide driver (which was used by the Voodoo3 cards back in the day). Then it’ll wrap the Glide calls to OpenGL calls. This, of course requires you have a vid card which supports OpenGL, but who doesn’t?
The wrapper also comes with a config utility (glide-init.exe) which you can run and there’s an option for «desktop resolution» which will cause it to render full screen at your native resolution. It has to scale things a bit so it’s a little blocky, but not bad (I run at 1440×900). It puts bars on the sides so that it’s not all stretched out too.
I’ve been playing on Battle.Net with this without issue so far. And I don’t see how it could be considered a hack or cheating, it’s just a video card driver.

The latest patch (v1.13, patch notes) support scaling the image up to the largest available. On a widescreen, the graphics are a bit distorted, but at least there are no black bars on the side of the screen to deal with.

I think your best bet is to wait for Diablo 3 
I researched this a few months ago, was in the same situation. The only fix I found was on the good old Widescreen Gaming Forum (http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19227). There is a mod called D2MultiRes, but if you look at the results on that forum post you’ll see it really doesn’t work well at all. The hack makes the game unplayable.
I suggest: run the game windowed

Diablo 2 Lord Of Destruction в высоком разрешении в оконном режиме
Вы знаете, чуваки, что есть такая классическая суперзадротская игра Diablo 2 Lord Of Destruction? Это вам не ваш сраный WoW, это — древняя классика, на которую фапают только суровые олдфаги: великие древние Одмины, выпившие свою первую бутылку пива еще в суровую эпоху ядерного DOS 6.22. В те далекие времена деревья, ясное дело, были выше, девки — моложе, а Windows 95 казался суперреволюцией.
Дьябла была одной из веховых игр, таких как Doom, Quake, Elite, Prince of Persya, Half Life и т.п., так что до сих пор куча народу щелкает мышкой. К нашему (дьяблодроческому) счастью D2 идет безглючно даже под Windows 7 x64. Также существует огромное количество разного обслуживающего софта для запуска дьяблы не то что без CD, а вообще без установки на комп, и разных других трюков, не говоря уже о редакторах персонажей, модов и прочего счастья.
Была одна беда: максимальное разрешение в дьябле — 800х600, уж больно древняя игрушка. Но теперь: та-дам! Этой проблемы больше нет. Вот здесь есть прога, позволяющая стартовать D2 в почти в любом разрешении вплоть до Full HD ( у меня даже на 1920×1080 пошло).
От себя добавлю, что все работает. Пробовалось на noinstall версии 1.12. Вместе с тем стоит заметить, что стартовало все не с первой попытки, по этому прилагаю свою пошаговую инструкцию как это делать на самом деле:
- Качаем D2MultiRes Version 1.02.
- Распаковываем.
- Тупо копируем в папку с игрой.
- Запускаем D2MultiRes.exe для полноэкранного режима, или с ключом -w (D2MultiRes.exe -w) для игры в окне.
- ???????
- А вот хуй что у нас получилось…. Глюки и артефакты. Играть не возможно.
- Fail? Только не у нас! Мы интернеты читать умеем? Вот и стали мы их читать.
А дальше выяснилось следующее. Дело в том, что разработчики утверждают, что игру надо запускать только в режиме DirectDraw, ибо Direct3D у них кривой. Для этого надо запустить стандартный D2VidTst.exe из комплекта игры, и выбрать DirectDrew (этот же файл надо кстати запускать один раз перед первым пуском игры в Windows 7, чтоб все работало на ура). Если заработало, то все бы и отлично, но на моей наботровой видюхе DirectDraw дает такие глюны, что играть нет смысла. Попробовал запуститься в Direct3D таже картина. В общем, после копания форумов вскрылось, что и с Direct3D жить можно безпроблем, нужно только отключить в видеонастройках игры «Перспективу», и все, PROFIT!!!
P.S.: Размеры предметов почти не уменьшаются, а вот видимое игровое поле существенно растет.
