s4_main fatal error

Settlers 4 Windows XP SP2. Проблему s4_main fatal error решаем так:

1. Полностью устанавливаем The Settlers IV + addons.

2. Устанавливаем патч SIV_1516.exe patch (без патча версия 1056 тоже работает).

3. Устанавливаем Windows Application Compatibility Toolkit 3.0

4. Запустить установленную программу и создать новую базу данных.

6. Имя фиксируемой: Settlers IV — Имя производителя программы: Blue Byte.

7. Расположение файла программы: Browse на файл S4_Main.exe в папке gamedirExe.

8. Operating System Modes: None — нажать Next.

9. Compatibility Fixes: выбрать EmulateSlowCPU — нажать Next.

10. Нажать Finish.

11. Выбрать File and Install.

12. Запустить S4.exe для начала игры.

У меня все заработало. Settlers 4 Gold English

Так моими нереальными стараниями проблемы Сэтлерсов4 РЕШЕНЫ!
Settlers4 Gold Edition (включает в себя add-on с троянской рассой и мисион пак + появляется возможность ставить последний патч . )

could someone help me when i try to start the game (I haven’t been able to start it at all on my laptop) i get the window pop up saying:

I bought Settler 4 — Gold Edition just a few minutes ago and cannot start the game.
It gives me this «Fatal Error 0xc0000005 at 0x77584d04»-Message. I can hear the menu-music, but the game itsself crashed.

I dont know what to do.

I enable Compatibility-mode (win95). Does anyone have a fix for me?

I’m not familiar with windows 95, one sec going to check the store page of recommended OS

GOG will not let me post links which kind of gives me a headache since no one else seems to be helping you. I highly recommend you contact support.

I had some helpful links for you to another discussion for DXGL but GOG system won’t let me post it. Very sorry, hope someone more helpful than me can come here and post.

I don’t think he’s using Windows 95 (the GOG installers for one thing won’t work on it; not sure about the original CDs), but compatibility mode of a Windows version he didn’t mention (Windows 10?).

Problem with settlers IV (fatal error)

hey i just got a brand new computer with good graphics and memory and i installed settlers IV and this error notice came up:

S4_main.exe — Fatal error
Fatal error: Exception 0xc0000094 at 0x004e19a6!

How can i get it working? Please help me, thanks

Fatal error problems with The Settlers IV

Chowie, i have the exact same problem, i get fatal error when i try start the game, and than i try to install The trojans and the elexir of power and i get the exact same up on my screen as u got (and u posted a picture off). but when i «target» my «The settlers IV» folder in «my computer», and i press properties, i got no option/tab thats named compatability. could you please explain to me how you got it to work ? i’m alittle new to computers, and the whole setup. but i have playd settlers IV befor. and i realy want to play it again.

sure, i know how it feels when you want to play settlers but cant hehe love that game.

First make sure you have the settlers icon on your desktop, just drag it on if its not already there.

Then right click it and click on properties, you should now see a compatibility tab on the top, click it. set the mode to windows 98/ windows Me and tick the box to run it in that compatibility.

Click apply then ok and try re launching the game this should hope fully work for you.

Let me get you a fix for the infamous Hardware/Software 3D Error! More information behind one simple click.

Strolling through the webs for Windows 10 Compatibility for Settlers IV(and problems with a virtualized Win98 installation), I came across what promised to be a simple fix for what is probably one of the most infamous errors in the game.

The one that got me to initially consider writing the guide for the Settlers IV’s setup on a modern computer(which I intend to revamp and rewrite, tailoring it to different setups and versions of Windows… But all in due time).

I mean, I am by no means alone on this one; I have seen tons of posts on forums asking about this specific error, how to fix it if it enjoys taking long strolls through the beach… You know, getting to know its MO in an attempt to fix it.

While there is no one right solution to this error(your mileage may vary depending on your setup… This is why I want to investigate the issue further in the next couple of months), I found what appears to be one of the simplest solutions… Just download a file, let it run, and try not to get confused by all the German on screen(if you can’t speak German of course, but if you do… Hallöchen! 🙂  ).

Here’s the link. Simply download it(Herunterladen), and run it.
After a couple of next(weiter), it will ask you for a folder. Choose your Settlers IV root folder, and let the program do its job.

Now the game should start!

I have to admit that I have found a couple of problems with it(such as having some graphical options disabled or increased loading times when launching the game… The original author goes into more detail in his post), and is by no means an optimal solution(still looking for that one!), but it is definitely one of the easiest, simplest and most reliable ones I have found, and this will be more than enough for most people.

So enjoy this fix, and thank Toby for uploading and (presumably)making it! I know I do!
