The issue occurs because the game failed to load a required Vulkan extension. This can happen if your graphics drivers are not correctly installed.

Driver issue

It is likely that your Vulkan drivers (part of the graphics drivers) are not correctly installed.
Try a clean reinstall of the latest graphics drivers for your card, directly from the manufacturers website. This should fix the issue.

Running with old drivers

Please verify that you have the latest (or at least the minimum required) drivers installed:

For NVIDIA graphics cards, upgrade your drivers to 385.41 or later.
For AMD graphics cards, upgrade your drivers to 17.9.1 or later.
For Notebooks with both integrated and discrete graphics cards (e.g. AMD Radeon + NVidia), update BOTH drivers. There are known issues where the (fast) discrete card is not detected if the (slower) integrated card does not have the latest drivers.

NOTE: On Windows 8.1 the 17.9.1 drivers are not officially supported by AMD. If you run Windows 8.1 you should use the AMD 17.7.1 drivers instead.
NOTE: On Windows 8 the 17.7.1 drivers are not supported either. We recommend upgrading to Windows 8.1 instead (which is free for all Windows 8 installations).
NOTE: Do not rely on Windows to update to the latest drivers; check the manufacturers website instead.

You can also try a clean install of your graphics drivers by manually uninstalling and then reinstalling them.
It may also be worth trying out the latest optional drivers, if the current stable/recommended version doesn’t work for you.

Known 3rd-party tools causing the issue

If the issue started occurring recently, after installing some other software, please try reinstalling the latest graphics card drivers again. We are aware that under certain conditions, this startup issue can occur after installing other 3rd-party tools (e.g. the NVIDIA CUDA Toolkit 10.1 Update 1) which break, disable, or tweak the behaviour of the graphics card drivers’ Vulkan runtime installation.

ERROR_OUT_OF_HOST_MEMORY — Vulkan error

If you end up with Exitcode 202 and running vulkaninfo (see section under «Further help») just reports the error: ‘ERROR_OUT_OF_HOST_MEMORY’ without producing any further output, you might be suffering an issue related to the graphics card drivers.
The exact cause is unknown to us, but one user reported a solution which involved first doing a clean uninstallation of the current drivers, then installing driver version 19.12.1 and finally installing 20.3.1 on top of that.
This particular user was originally running the game on Windows 7 with an AMD FX-8350 CPU and an AMD Radeon RX590, with either the 20.2.2 or 20.4.2 AMD drivers (at the time of the investigation these were the latest recommended and optional drivers available).
If you are using the same OS/CPU/graphics card combination and also get this error, this might be worth a try.

Trying to start the game on hardware that is below minimum requirements

Note that the minimum requirements to run the game include a dedicated graphics card: NVIDIA GTX 780/970 or AMD equivalent.

Trying to run the game on cloud services

We have been made aware that trying to start the game on certain cloud services can also trigger this startup issue. We suggest contacting the support team of these services to determine whether they can solve this issue on their side. If they need a technical contact to work out a solution with us, they should contact us through the standard support channel at support@egosoft.com.

Trying to run the game on Parallels Desktop

As per a user report, trying to start the game on Parallels Desktop (on a Mac) will trigger this startup error as well. At the time of this report (2021-04-15) there’s no support to run Vulkan games on Parallels Desktop.
Users, however, report that starting the game using Boot Camp works for them. While we don’t support this setup officially either, you can give that a try at your own risk.

If you still encounter this problem, your graphics card is above the minimum requirements, and you have verified that you have installed the latest drivers, please send a mail to prioritysupport@egosoft.com (Subject: Exitcode 202) with a screenshot of the popup error and your dxdiag and vulkaninfo attached. Игра является космическим симулятором, в отличие от предыдущей части позволяющим управлять не только кораблями, но и целой империей. Но, к сожалению, без багов в игре не обошлось, и одним из таких является небезызвестная “ошибка 212”. Наша статья объяснит вам, как избавиться от этой ошибки раз и навсегда всеми известными на сегодняшний день способами.

Как устранить ошибку?

Данная ошибка сигнализирует о конфликте игры с вашей видеокартой.

Первоначально, стоит убедиться, что ваш компьютер соответствует минимальным игровым требованиям. Одним из основных критериев является поддержка видеокартой технологии “API Vulkan”. Если ваша видеокарта данную технологию на поддерживает, то запуск игры невозможен. Star Trucker has a point that Laptops can be a sub optimal choice for gaming.. they can work but it depends heavily on how they are wired internally.

Templer361 also has a Point with that not everyone has the luxury to choose between Dektop PC or Laptop due to Work, space, etc. conditions.

Случается, что игра по умолчанию запускается на интегрированном графическом адаптере, рассчитанном на небольшую нагрузку (серфинг по интернету, работа рабочего стола). На нём, безусловно, комфортная игра не удастся, а запуск без ошибки 212 или аналогичной, совершится маловероятно.

Чтобы решить неполадку, следует воспользоваться любым из представленных алгоритмов:

Деактивация в Windows

Компьютер должен быть включён, а количество запущенных приложений минимизировано. После чего:

Правой кнопкой мыши щёлкнуть по иконке «Этот компьютер» (или «Мой компьютер»). Затем перейти в пункт «Управление».

В разделе «Служебные программы» открыть «Диспетчер устройств». В меню «Видеоадаптеры» найти встроенную видеокарту.

Альтернативный метод в BIOS

Если действия по предыдущему алгоритму завершились неудачей, возможно поможет убрать ошибку следующее:

Компьютер должен находится в выключенном состоянии. При запуске компьютера, дождаться логотипа материнской платы, затем нажать кнопку вызова BIOS (во всех образцах она собственная. К примеру: F2, F10 или Delete).

Далее перейти в настройки встроенного оборудования, и найти пункт вроде Primary Video Controller или Integration Video. Указать ему значение.

Я думаю в настройках AMD где-то должно выставлятся на какой карте нужно запускать то или иное приложение.
Что же касается 3Гб VRAM-сам играю на карте с 2Гб VRAM. Меня всё устраивает, но все эффекты конечно на минимуме либо отключены. При такой тонкой настройке могу и 5 и 6 часов играть и даже больше. Но это, конечно, очень хардкорно.

я уже перепроюывал драйверов пару штук,и виндовс переустанавливал,и переключал карту,в конечном результате уже ошыбку вулкана гету а ошыбка что я типа на дополнительном екране(Error with Vulkan runtime/installation.

Это не показатель. Стрелялки это допотопные » древние вещи» спецом на коленке сделаны, чтоб «бабульки» у «интересного» поколения и их родителей отжать.

При том что какое и где приложение запускать как правило настраивается в контрольной панели видеокарты. В BIOS-е максимум что можно сделать, это полностью отключить интегрированную в процессор графику, но это в основном на настольных ПК есть. К ноутам это как правило не относится.

У меня АМДшный ноут, значительно старее, и тоже 2 графических чипа.
Та что помощнее HD5650 и слабая HD4250 вроде.
Официальный драйвер с сайта АМД не канает ибо после установки будет только одна видяха работать.
На официальном сайте производителя ноута — гибридный софт-драйвер Catalyst Control Center, который в данный момент является устаревшим.
Так вот. В этом софте CCC, у меня была настройка выбора основной графики и когда ее включать. Щас вместо ССС, у АМД чтото поновее, но сути не меняет.
Насколько я знаю, устройство работает на 1 выбраном видеочипе, если выбран R7 по умолчанию, значит в играх должен отображаться R7.

У автора, вполне возможно, проблема в другом…
У AMD есть очень полезная фишка, которая называется AMD Dual Draphics, где графика процессора объединяется с графикой дискретной, для большей производительности. Для ноутов это офигенная тема.
По этому вполне возможно что у автора на ноуте либо включена, либо автоматически работает эта фишка, а игра просто не понимает и принимает первую попавшуюся графику, в данном случае та что встроена в проц.

Так что вполне возможно что кривые руки не у автора, а разрабы не доработали игру.
Автору рекомендую зайти в Каталист и пошарить в настройках.

I did before i started this post.
Now i found a kind of weird solution
1. Deactivate the Laptop Graphic card -> reboot.
2, Start game (it will run horrible af took 2min to start laggy etc, change settings on » No auto graphic detect. Force to use the Graphic card.
3. Quit game , reboot.
4.Activate laptop graphic card (looks like it need to work with the gaming card)
5. start game now its running well. (or at least starting and menu etc)

Sorry to hear that. It doesn’t matter your sob story background. Gaming on a laptop comes with a bunch of stupid hoops to jump through and lots of limitations you have to learn how to work around. Star Trucker has a point that Laptops can be a sub optimal choice for gaming.. they can work but it depends heavily on how they are wired internally.

Templer361 also has a Point with that not everyone has the luxury to choose between Dektop PC or Laptop due to Work, space, etc. conditions.

Чтобы решить неполадку, следует воспользоваться любым из представленных алгоритмов:

Деактивация в Windows

Компьютер должен быть включён, а количество запущенных приложений минимизировано. После чего:

Правой кнопкой мыши щёлкнуть по иконке «Этот компьютер» (или «Мой компьютер»). Затем перейти в пункт «Управление».

В разделе «Служебные программы» открыть «Диспетчер устройств». В меню «Видеоадаптеры» найти встроенную видеокарту.

Альтернативный метод в BIOS

Если действия по предыдущему алгоритму завершились неудачей, возможно поможет убрать ошибку следующее:

Компьютер должен находится в выключенном состоянии. При запуске компьютера, дождаться логотипа материнской платы, затем нажать кнопку вызова BIOS (во всех образцах она собственная. К примеру: F2, F10 или Delete).

Далее перейти в настройки встроенного оборудования, и найти пункт вроде Primary Video Controller или Integration Video. Указать ему значение.

Здравствуйте. Решил попробовать среду FreePascal и наткнулся на ошибку при выполнении простой программы:

Программа вылетает с кодом 202. Забавно то, что если дописать к юнитам Math, то код ошибки меняется на 217.
Если не использовать в описании класса свойство (property), а, например, оформить MyProperty как поле, а в основном теле программы явно вызывать методы GetProperty/SetProperty, то всё работает как надо.

В настройках компилятора я поставил Delphi compatible. Очень надеюсь на Вашу помощь, так как опыта у меня немного, и очень хотелось бы перейти cо среды Borland Delphi на бесплатный софт. Заранее спасибо.

Значит так. Разложим по полкам.
У вас при чтении свойства TheProperty вызывается функция GetProperty, а при записи процедура SetProperty.
Загляним ка в функцию чтения

и что мы видим :shock: это же чистой воды бесконечная рекурсия и отсюда безбожное переполнение стека :shock:
данный код преобразуется в следующее:

я думаю, что не стоит смотреть процедуру запись…
