1. Here is a full list of known error codes and fixes (if available).

   To jump to the error your looking for simply press Ctrl+F to bring up search and write in your error code.

   Took me forever to write up and get sorted so i hope you appreciate it

   Quote: How to tell what error code your Xbox360 has (credits to uncle Az):

   • Turn the xbox 360 on, and wait till the 3 red lights are flashing.
   • Press and hold the sync up button (the small white one), while holding that button press the eject button.
   • The LEDs will now blink the first number in the code (as described below).
   • Release the eject button and press it again.
   • The LEDs will now blink the second number of the code.
   • Release the eject button and press it again.
   • The LEDs will now blink the third number of the code.
   • Release the eject button and press it again.
   • The LEDs will now blink the forth number of the code.
   • Release the eject button and press it again.
   • The LEDs will go back to the 3 red flashing lights.
   • You should be able to determine the difference between the 3 flashing lights and the error code lights by the rate in which they flash.

   Here is how you interpret the LEDs to get the code number:

   • All four lights flashing — 0
   • One light flashing — 1
   • Two Lights flashing — 2
   • Three lights flashing — 3

   E-Code / Secondary Error code: E26 / 0122
   Binary/Hex: 00011010 / 0x1A -> 26

   Known fixes:

   1) Apply new thermal paste, make sure the heatink is making contact with the heat spreader

   Description:

   This is the overheating code for the Xbox 360 slim for the CPU/GPU unit.

   «I overheated my 360 and when it overheated the airflow temp was a 69C.
   Also you get the seccondary error codes the same way as a regular 360.
   Also it has green leds not red lol.
   And differant error codes 0122 is now the new overheating code.

   Binary/Hex: 00000000 / 0x00 -> 0

   Known fixes:

   1) X-Clamp replacement — tighten the screws on the side facing the HANA chip slightly more
   2) Reflow GPU and HANA chip

   Related Errors: E74

   Description:

   This error is caused by a cold solder joint in the GPU — HANA chip area, like E74.The 360 doesnt recognize it yet though.

   Binary/Hex: 00000000 / 0x00 -> 0

   Known fixes:

   1) Scan the mainboard and make sure that there is nothing that might short something out, like metal chipping, components, that move out of place while heatgunning, etc.
   2) X-Clamp replacement
   The GPU heatsink might be shorting out if you screwed it in too tight…
   3) Reflow the solder
   In rare cases a reflow might also fix it.

   Description:

   This error can be triggered by a faulty power supply or a short in the console.The short is located near one of the main supply lines, so not under the chips, it might also be a blown capacitor fuse or just a bridged contact.

   1 RLOD Error codes

   E-Code / Secondary Error code: E64 / 1000
   Binary/Hex: 01000000 / 0x40 -> 64

   Known fixes:

   1) Check the DVD power and SATA cable for damages and replace them if necessary.
   2) If you have soldered a modchip to the drive recently make sure it is sinstalled properly otherwise the flash chip isnt powered.
   3) The flash chip must be desoldered and reflashed with an external programmer, recover the dvd-key if you can (unless you have a backup)…

   Description:

   This error occurs if something goes wrong while flashing the drive or installing a modchip.A sign for it is that the dvd-drive doesnt eject the tray anymore.
   DVD drive timed out during reset.
   It can also be caused by a faulty DVD power or SATA cables(edsondario & Fios89)

   E-Code / Secondary Error code: E65 / 1001
   Binary/Hex: 01000001 / 0x41 -> 65

   Known fixes:

   1)If you have soldered a modchip to the drive recently make sure it is installed properly otherwise the flash chip isnt powered.
   2) Try to reflash the correct firmware to the drive using your computer.
   3) The flash chip must be desoldered and reflashed with an external programmer, recover the dvd-key if you can (unless you have a backup)…

   Description:

   This error occurs if something goes wrong while flashing the drive or installing a modchip.A sign for it is that the dvd-drive can still be flashed and read out.
   According to XBH: DVD drive is not DMA configured

   Binary/Hex: 01000010 / 0x42 -> 66

   Known fixes:

   1) Reflash the firmware with the correct Vendor version string using your computer.

   Description:

   This error occurs when you replace the dvd-drive and forget to spoof it with the correct version string of the drive you replaced….

   Binary/Hex: 01000011 / 0x43 -> 67

   Known fixes:

   1) Replace your harddrive.
   2) If you know it isnt the harddrive try the Southbridge X-Clamp Fix or Reflow the Southbridge

   Description:
   This error occurs when your harddrive is defective, it might still work sometimes….Hard drive timed out during reset. There is also a small chance that it is a cold joint under the Southbridge causing problems with the I/O of the HDD.

   Binary/Hex: 01000100 / 0x44 -> 68

   Known fixes:

   1) If you recently used it with a computer you might have got a faulty security sector or so..
   2) Replace your harddrive.
   3) Southbridge X-Clamp Fix
   4) Reflow the Southbridge

   Description:

   This error occurs when your harddrive is defective, it might still work sometimes…. It can also happen because of a bad eeprom or a wrong security sector.It can also be a problem with the internal connection of the harddrive to the mainboard…According to XBH: Hard drive not DMA configured

   Binary/Hex: 01000101 / 0x45 -> 69

   Known fixes:

   1) Unplug your harddrive and plug it back in
   2) If you played around with HDDHackr the hddss.bin could be invalid, try reflashing it and make sure your dump is good.
   3) Replace your harddrive.

   Description:

   This error occurs when your harddrives security sector is unreadable, if you have played around with that make sure to have the correct security sector on the drive….
   However it could also just be defective and trigger the error because of that.

   Description:

   HDD Error (Corrupt Filesystem/partitions) or Hard drive not found

   Binary/Hex: 01000111 / 0x47 -> 71

   Known fixes:

   1) Patch for the fall update(search on Google for it)/ Insert the NXE Update disc before the error screen pops up
   2) Reflow the Southbridge
   3) Southbridge X-Clamp Fix
   4) If Software related, the JTAG Hack might work to fix it.

   Description:

   This error is related to a failed dashboard update, can also be NAND related if you have an Infectus chip….
   It can also often be caused by a cold joint under the Southbridge(if it wasnt caused by an update).

   Binary/Hex: 01001000 / 0x48 -> 72

   Known fixes:

   1) Patch for the fall update(search on Google for it)/ Insert the NXE Update disc before the error screen pops up
   2) Reflow the Southbridge
   3) Southbridge X-Clamp Fix
   4) If Software related, the JTAG Hack might work to fix it.

   Description:

   This error is related to a loose pin or a not existent NAND chip, can also happen if you flashed it badly with an Infectus chip and/or the NAND is dead….

   E-Code / Secondary Error code: E73 / 1021
   Binary/Hex: 01001001 / 0x49 -> 73

   Known fixes:

   1) Southbridge X-Clamp-Fix
   2) Reflow the Southbridge/Ethernet chip area
   3) Check the area under the Southbridge for parts that might have fallen off and solder them back on.
   4) In rare cases it can also be GPU related so an X-Clamp Fix might work as well (bigart666)

   Description:

   This error is caused by a cold solder joint under the Southbridge or the ethernet chip.In rare cases it can also be triggered by a cold joint under the GPU on one of the lines that run to the Southbridge chip.
   And missing parts(caps, resistors…) under the Southbridge can trigger this error as well.

   Binary/Hex: 01001010 / 0x4A -> 74

   Known fixes:

   1)If you soldered anything to the mainboard before it occured, whatever you are powering from this point is drawing too much power so get rid of it.Also get rid of everything that you can see that might bridge anything near the GPU.
   2) X-Clamp replacement Hybrid — Tighten the GPU screws facing the HANA chip slightly more and make sure to be using a shim
   2) X-Clamp replacement Hybrid — Tighten the GPU screws facing the HANA chip slightly more and make sure to be using a shim. Adding an extra shim on each side of the smaller chip dye will help to create more surface against the heatsink and will increase the chances of the error going away for good.
   3) If there is a lot of flexing under the GPU, bake the board to unflex it
   4) Reflowing GPU and HANA chip

   Related Errors:

   0022

   Description:

   This error is caused by a cold solder joint under the GPU, (H)ANA-chip or in between.
   Mostly it is one of the outer solder ***** on the side facing the (H)ANA chip so a shim increases the chanced of success quite a bit.
   Can also be a component that is missing or damaged so look for missing parts near the GPU and the (H)ANA chip.

   Binary/Hex: 01001011 / 0x4B -> 75

   Known fixes:

   1) Connect the DVD-drive and check if the error code is still the same…
   2) Remove everything you might have soldered to this area.
   3) Reflow the Southbridge and Networkchip …
   4) Replace the Networkchip

   Description:

   This error is related to the network chip, might be power related or so.This can happen while installing and NME 2.
   In general it sounds like a cold solder joint somewhere there.However it can also be a Hitachi DVD-drive that is not connected…
   According to XBH: Couldn’t read ethernet phy vendor/wrong ethernet vendor

   Binary/Hex: 01001100 / 0x4C -> 76

   Known fixes:

   1) Replace the Networkchip
   2) Connect the DVD-drive and check if the error code is still the same…
   3) Remove everything you might have soldered to this area.
   4) Reflow the Southbridge and Networkchip …

   Description:

   This error is caused by a dead network chip.This can happen when a lightning hits your house and the network chip is under high voltage.
   According to XBH: Couldn’t complete ethernet reset

   Known fixes:

   1) Replace the Network chip and other damaged components around it like blown capacitors defective regulators etc…

   Related Errors:

   E76

   Description:

   This error is caused by a dead network chip.
   It can occur when your house gets hit in a thunderstorm…
   According to XBH: phy request is already processing/ reading reg failed/ Failed to write reg

   Description:

   Binary/Hex: 01001111 / 0x4F -> 79

   Known fixes:

   1) Replace your harddrive.
   2) If you know it isnt the harddrive try the Southbridge X-Clamp Fix or Reflow the Southbridge
   3) Check JTAG wiring! Especially the diodes they MUST face the correct direction — Away from J2D2.

   Description:

   This error occurs when your harddrive is defective, it might still work sometimes….
   There is also a small chance that it is a cold joint under the Southbridge causing problems with the I/O of the HDD.
   It can also be related to wiring the diodes while JTAGGING.
   Couldn’t start xam.xex

   E-Code / Secondary Error code: E80 / 1100
   Binary/Hex: 01010000 / 0x50 -> 80

   Known fixes:

   1) Downgrade to the old dashboard, solder the resistor back on and then update your xbox.
   2) If you have the CPU Key, get the current NAND Flash image and fix the LDV (Just add 1 up to latest kernel).

   Description:

   Wrong LDV version in NAND Flash. You have the new dashboard update but not the resistor R3T6, follow known fixes to see how to resolve the problem.

   2 RLOD Error codes

   E-Code / Secondary Error code: E05 (No Audio/Video) / 0011
   Binary/Hex: 00000101 / 0x05 -> 5

   Known fixes:

   1) Make sure the CPU heatsink is making good contact with the chip, apply a thin layer of compound and put the heatsink on without screws, make sure it gives a good imprint then.
   2)Replacing the CPU X-Clamps/Applying new thermal compound
   3) Cut the temperature sensor trace

   Description:

   This error appears when the CPU overheated, after that the xbox locks itself until it cooled the chip down.The reason for that is that the heat cant be dissipated to the heatsink/ the heatsink isnt cooled properly…
   This can be the result of improper thermal compound usage or if the error comes up instantly while booting the console, the heatsink will likely not be making any contact at all with the chip.
   In rare cases it can also be a faulty temp sensor.

   E-Code / Secondary Error code: E06 (No Audio/Video) / 0012
   Binary/Hex: 00000110 / 0x06 -> 6

   Known fixes:

   1) Make sure the CPU heatsink is making good contact with the chip, apply a thin layer of compound and put the heatsink on without screws, make sure it gives a good imprint then.
   2)Replacing the GPU X-Clamps/Applying new thermal compound
   3) It can also be fixed sometimes by just a slight tightening the GPU bolts,(1/4 or 1/8 turn). xboxgamer815

   Description:

   Binary/Hex: 00000111 / 0x07 -> 7

   Known fixes:

   1) Putting the faulty RAM brick under pressure with a 3mm thick craft foam pad.
   2) Reflow the RAM chips — Oven Reflow preferably for the bottom RAM
   — Reflow the 2 ram bricks under the GPU heatsink 99% of the time its these that are causing the error.(DCP)
   3) Hybrid X-Clamp Fix

   Description:

   In 99% of the cases it is a cold solder joint under one of the RAM bricks though.
   It is also said to be an indicator for RAM overheating but this is extremely rare

   3 RLOD Error codes

   E-Code / Secondary Error code: E00 (No Audio/Video) / 0000
   Binary/Hex: 00000000 / 0x00 -> 0

   Known fixes:

   1) Blow the dust away under the Southbridge and HANA chip
   2) Reflow the Southbridge
   3) X-Clamp replacement

   Description:

   The Xbox doesnt know whats wrong it freezes after showing the first digit(0) of the error code.Might be a cold solder joint somewhere under the GPU as someone fixed it with the X-Clamp replacement, might also be scaler or Southbridge related since this is where the error code is calculated…

   According to stephen.a.j it can also be caused by dust under the Southbridge and the HANA chip so please check for that…

   E-Code / Secondary Error code: E01 (No Audio/Video) / 0001
   Binary/Hex: 00000001 / 0x01 -> 1

   Known fixes:

   1) Make sure your PSU is working and replace it if it isnt
   2) Scan the mainboard and make sure that there is nothing that might short something out, like metal chipping, components, that move out of place while heatgunning, etc.
   3) Replace MOSFETs and regulators that are known to cause it if they were blown
   4) Check if the standby voltages are existent, if they are not at a certain area replace the parts in the area which are likely to be defective.
   5) Reflow the CPU, HANA chip
   In rare cases a reflow might also fix it.
   6) X-Clamp replacement
   The GPU heatsink might be shorting out if you screwed it in too tight…

   Description:

   This error can be triggered by a faulty power supply or a short in the console. The short is located near one of the main supply lines, so mostly not under the chips, it might also be a blown capacitor fuse or just a bridged contact. Also damaged DVD power cable.

   Binary/Hex: 00000010 / 0x02 -> 2

   Known fixes:

   1) Scan the mainboard and make sure that there is nothing that might short something out, like metal chipping, components, that moved out of place while reflowing, etc. — Especially in the CPU area
   3) Replace MOSFETs and regulators that are known to cause it if they were blown
   4) Check if the standby voltages are existent, if they are not at a certain area replace the parts in the area which are likely to be defective.
   5) Reflow the CPU
   6) X-Clamp replacement

   Description:

   This error code is caused by a cold solder joint under the CPU or by a problem with the way it is powered(blown mosfet, capacitor or a short)
   According to xbox-scene it is also a problem with the ethernet chip but there arent any references for that.

   Binary/Hex: 00000011 / 0x03 -> 3

   Known fixes:

   1) Scan the mainboard and make sure that there is nothing that might short something out, like metal chipping, components, that moved out of place while reflowing, etc. — Especially in the CPU area
   2) Replace MOSFETs and regulators that are known to cause it if they were blown
   3) Check if the standby voltages are existent, if they are not at a certain area replace the parts in the area which are likely to be defective.
   4) Reflow the CPU
   5) X-Clamp replacement

   Related Errors:

   0001

   Description:

   The CPU is somehow not getting clean power, can be a cold solder joint under it or one of the external parts like a missing cap etc.

   E-Code / Secondary Error code: E04 (No Audio/Video) / 0010
   Binary/Hex: 00000100 / 0x04 -> 4

   Known fixes:

   1) Southbridge X-Clamp-Fix
   2) Reflow the Southbridge area
   3) Check the area under the Southbridge for parts that might have fallen off and solder them back on.

   Description:

   There is a problem with the Southbridge Chip usually dealing with how it connects to the mainboard (cold solder joint/bridged solder joints)(Taken from Xbox-Scene)

   E-Code / Secondary Error code: E08 (No Audio/Video) / 0020
   Binary/Hex: 00001000 / 0x08 -> 8

   Known fixes:

   1)If you worked on the mainboard recently(soldered or so) remove these wires because you might be drawing too much power from the GPU
   Also look for missing/bridged components like capacitors/resistors
   2) If you jtagged the console remove wires and resistors, the parallel port can stay as long as no PC is connected.
   3) X-Clamp replacement
   4) Flush with alcohol, let dry, begin Relow with flux like below
   5) Reflow GPU (and RAM if this fails) area
   6) Reball the GPU and RAM, for bridged solder

   Description:

   This error is caused by a bridged solder joint under CPU, GPU or one of the RAM bricks.
   This effect can also be caused by tin whiskers leading to shorts and if the GPU was taken off the mainboard this error will also show up.
   It can also be power related(the CPU/GPU or RAM isnt getting enough power). Can also be a component that is missing or damaged so look for missing and bridged parts near the GPU.
   If the console was jtagged and the resistors and cables are still connected it will show 0020, the parallel port can stay as long as no PC is connected.

   E-Code / Secondary Error code: E09 (No Audio/Video) / 0021
   Binary/Hex: 00001001 / 0x09 -> 9

   Known fixes:

   1)If you worked on the mainboard recently(soldered or so) remove these wires because you might be drawing too much power from the Southbridge
   Also look for missing/bridged components like capacitors/resistors
   2) X-Clamp replacement
   3) Southbridge X-Clamp-Fix
   4) Reflow the Southbridge/Ethernet chip area
   5) Reball the Southbridge — bridged solder
   6) if you work in dumping lite-on 8xxxx and 9xxxx with jumper, Check your dvd drive pcb (board) again, if there’s still some shorting.

   Related Errors:

   1021

   Description:

   This error is caused by a bridged solder joint under GPU or Southbridge. It can also be power related(the Southbridge isnt getting enough power). Can also be a component that is missing or damaged so look for missing and bridged parts(caps etc) near the Southbridge

   E-Code / Secondary Error code: E10 (No Audio/Video) / 0022
   Binary/Hex: 00001010 / 0x0A -> 10

   Known fixes:

   1)If you soldered anything to the mainboard before it occured, whatever you are powering from this point is drawing too much power so get rid of it.Also get rid of everything that you can see that might bridge anything near the GPU.
   2) X-Clamp replacement
   3) Reflow GPU and HANA chip
   4) If it’s not the GPU/(H)ANA, it might in rare cases be the CPU and can be fixed by reflowing the CPU.
   5) if you flash with xell on JTAG-fixed xbox360 this will appear, flash back to original.
   6) also can be caused by a broken trace (see link below).

   Description:

   This error is caused by a bridged/shorting solder joint under the GPU, (H)ANA-chip or in between.It can also be power related though, for example if you are drawing power from one of the regulators that power the GPU and HANA-chip.Can also be a component that is missing or damaged so look for missing parts near the GPU and the HANA chip. In extremely rare cases it might also be related to the lines that lead from HANA to the CPU.
   The chances are however higher that it is the GPU than the HANA chip so you should always first concentrate on the GPU.

   Another cause could be due to a broken trace under the board near one of the ram blocks, check the picture in the reference section. Thank you arvydas for reporting this solution!

   Binary/Hex: 00001011 / 0x0B -> 11

   Known fixes:

   No Known fixes available!

   Related Errors:

   0021

   Description:

   This error is unknown but assumed to be a short either under Southbridge and (H)ANA chip or in between these.Look for 0021 and 0022 and reflow the Southbridge-> HANA chip area, the X-Clamp Fix might help as well.

   E-Code / Secondary Error code: E12 (No Audio/Video) / 0030
   Binary/Hex: 00001100 / 0x0C -> 12

   Known fixes:

   1) Replacing the X-Clamps
   2) Reflowing the CPU
   Concentrate on the CPU.
   3) Cutting the CPUs temp sensor trace.

   Description:

   The temp sensor is not working properly, maybe because it is shorting out (2 bridged solder *****).Or it is broken, then you have to cut the trace…

   Binary/Hex: 00001101 / 0x0D -> 13

   Known fixes:

   1) Reflow the RAM and Southbridge
   2) Loosen your heatsink screws and make sure the heatsink isnt shorting out a capacitor…
   3) Replace the faulty RAM brick
   4) X-Clamp replacement
   5) Replace dvd power cord. Short in the dvd drive cord or the cord is in backwards.
   6) un-bridged U6T1 or U6T2 (point that protect cpu-fuse)

   Description:
